You’ve been learning to pass ICBC driving test for a year. You have at least 60 hours of practice behind the wheel with your supervisor or instructor. You are now ready to do your ICBC practice test and get your Driver’s Licence.
Here are some things you have to remember on your ICBC driving test and for the rest of your life:
Do mirror-signal-shoulder check before every turn and lane change.
Keep your hands at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel and turn hand-over-hand.
Check you rear view mirror every 5-8 seconds and every time you slow down or press the brake.
Come to a full stop for all red lights and stop signs.
Stay close to the speed limit if conditions allow, but don’t go over the speed limit.
Do 360 degree check before backing and look out the back window when moving backwards.
On your driving test ICBC might place multiple examiners in the car.
Your ICBC practice test may be cancelled if a weather condition is poor (example - snow), or your car condition is not safe (light or signal doesn’t work, honk is not working…). There will be no extra charge to you if your ICBC driving test will be cancelled because of the reasons mentioned above. You just will have to schedule another time for your ICBC practice test.
